The Big Hoose Project

The Big Hoose project are a branch of The Cottage Family Centre, who have signed an agreement with Amazon UK and other companies which will see multi million pounds worth of household goods be distributed to children and families experiencing hardship across Fife. Through a referral process, general household items such as bedding, kitchen items, towels, toilet roll , nappies, rugs and other household furnishings and goods can be distributed to those in need.

 

The Big Hoose's most recent inventory included:

  • Adult Coats, Jackets, Jumpers, Hoodies, Jumpers, T Shirts, Blouses, Jeans, Trousers, Jogging Bottoms, Shorts, etc
  • Shoes, boots, trainers, etc
  • Shampoo
  • Bathroom Towels and flannels
  • Toilet Roll
  • Plastic Cups
  • Kitchen Plates, Forks, Spoons and Knive
  • Kitchen Spatulas and Tongs
  • Kitchen Tea Towels

You do not have to be unemployed or in receipt of benefits to access support, as it is known that working families are experiencing hardship too and The Big Hoose project wants to support as many children and families as they can.
